I feel pretty!

To say Kristy from Blush Wedding Photography "did" my head-shots, would be a gross understatement. She created them with an artistic flare that still leaves me feeling quite pretty. Yes, the pictures are me, but through her many lenses, she saw the BEST of me and brought it forward. She's one talented photographer.

I struggled to narrow my selection down, but here are my favorites. I'm still flip-flopping with which ones to use for social media, my website, and my books.

Maybe you can help. Which ones do you like?

  1. You feel beautiful and you look absolutely beautiful, JC. And, can I just say that I am totally envying your porcelain skin. ;P They're all wonderful, but Mathair and I have to say that 2,5 and 8 are our faves. Love the smile in 2, the lighting in 5, and the overall gorgeousness of 8. Have a great week, JC. Hope we helped.

    1. Thanks Inion N. Mathair! Those are actually my top three as well (which is why I've put them in the middle). The great thing with social media these days is that I can probably use all three or rotate them! Thanks for helping out and commenting :-)

    2. I think you are very beautiful and Kristy did an astounding job. The one I like is #6 because it not only shows your beauty, but shows your confidence in your work.

  2. Hi JC
Gorgeous photos of a very beautiful woman. I love them all, but my faves are 1,2,3,4,6,7 and 8. Some are serious, some more whimsical. I'm sure you'll be using a lot of them.
    Thanks for sharing.

    1. Thanks Calisa! Looks like #2 is in the top running. They say not to smile for head shots, but it's one of my favorites because I feel it's the most genuine! Thanks for stopping by :-)

  4. I like 1,7 and 9 but any one of them would do you proud! Lovely.

    1. Thanks Laura. I think I might have to rotate them. It's getting too hard to choose. Every time I think of going with one, I flip flop to another! Imagine how hard it was to narrow is down to 9 from 33!! Thanks for commenting. :-)

    1. Thanks Lisa! My photographer told me to "look like I had a secret." I guess it worked! I just didn't want to look like I needed to go to the ladies room! #3 to me looks like a quintessential author pose--I see a lot of authors with that angle and I really like it. Thanks for stopping by and helping me out :-)

  6. I'd use 2 for social media and 8 for your website and books.

    1. Thanks for stopping by Devon! Those are 2 of my top 3 as well. Like I wrote to Joanne above, I just hope I can stick with it! But I agree. Kristy did a fantastic job with the photos and I think in the end, despite agonizing over my decision, I'll be happy with any of them. :-)

  9. These are beautiful! Love 2, 5, 6, and 8. Agree with Vonnie, you should pick one for social media and another for your website and books. :)

  12. You'll find uses for them all and it's hard to decide. The longer shots will look great on blog posts, but the close-ups will be good for your pages. You'll be using them so much, you'll get tired of the same one all the time. I'd seriously keep them all.
    *Beautiful pictures*

    1. Great advice Sandra! Because Kristy is awesome, she gave me all 33 photos to download high res, so I get to keep all of these and then some!! But I think maybe you're right, I'll be able to change them up when I get bored or...like always...change my mind :-)

  13. 2, 5,9, and 8 are my favs. The only ones I'd say no to are 3 and 4. You seem to be leaning away, which could come across as unapproachable.

    1. Great points Lilly. 3 and 4 don't seem to be contenders for anyone else either. I'm really glad I put this out there for opinions, because I kept coming back to #4 personally, despite liking 2, 5, 6 and 8 the most. I just like something about it, but for the sake of promotion, I totally agree with you. As soon as I read your comment, it snapped into place for me. Thank you for stopping by and commenting!
