Where in the World Am I?!? #EventSchedule #Authorlife

Happy New Years!

I've been very busy writing and planning. Would you like to meet me? Get a signed paperback? Talk writing? Geek out about random biological phenomena? Well, here's my current schedule for author events:

1. March 16-18, 2018: Capital City Comic Con, Victoria BC

2. May 18-20, 2018: Creative Ink Festival, Burnaby BC

I'm also hopeful to attend the following once registration is open:

  • August: Cobble Hill Fair, Cobble Hill BC
  • September: Word Vancouver, Vancouver BC
  • Fall: Emerald City Author Event, Seattle WA

Is there an event you'd like to see me at?

  1. Hey! Wish you were going to RWA and we could finally meet! That's the only event I'll be at this year. :( Enjoy your events!! Happy New Year!!

    1. Happy New Year Karilyn! I wish I was going to RWA! Maybe next year. It'll either be RWA or RT that I'll try to add to the roster. Right now I'm trying to focus on events that are closer to home. It's such an expense for me to go to the USA and if there's not a book seller in place, I can't sell books (legally), either. :-/

    2. Totally understand. The only reason I'm going to RWA this year is b/c it's in town. :) Which means no airfare for me! ha! :) Not sure if I'll be going next year. We shall see!

  2. Have you ever been to SIWC – Surrey international writers conference?
It's held every year, in October, I think. I attended the conference years ago when there were about 20 of us, before it went international and became a huge event. It attracts writers, from aspiring to some big name, agents and editors from all over the world.

    1. I've applied twice to go as a presenter/panelist/author signing, but each time have been told they've "already procured their quota of authors for my genre." I'd love to go, so maybe I'll just have to go as a guest, and soak in the experience. Apparently they now have SiWC at Sea! I'd LOVE to do that, but I'll probably have to wait until the kids are older. My husband only gets so many days off and the youngest is too young to leave that long with anyone other than us. *sigh*

You're in BC, right? Are you attending any local author events this year?
